I purchased the travel journal for my son (8). I emailed the store as I was a bit last minute ordering. Whilst this Door Latch Extender is way better than another I tried ( usless ) it only works in cool weather - for as soon as the day gets warmer or the sun shines directly on the extender, the plastic elbow connecting the wing nut end to the arm becomes soft, causing the whole device to become unstable, weak and sags at right angles under its own weight - possibly failing totally if left too long in the sun. Like the smaller option available - not fit for purpose.
